Special Care Planning
Matt is a Chartered Special Needs Consultant, holding the professional designation ChSNC. He specializes in working with families that have a child or family member with special needs on their financial future and estate planning. The three main areas of focus for financial planning with special needs clients are:
1) Ensuring the child is properly cared for with a comfortable quality of life if something were to happen to the primary caregivers.
2) Maximizing government benefits and creating a plan to ensure individuals are not disqualified from their benefits.
3) Planning for two retirements, calculating how much their child will need to live off of when the parents are no longer able to care for the child, and ensuring that the proper estate planning documents are in place.
